Thanks for this information, Elly. I've always wanted to try this because both my husband and I love barbecued pork and I'd heard about this crockpot method but had no specifics. The only cuts of pork that I've cooked (other than chops) have been center cut roasts and tenderloins, so I very much appreciate all the detail. I think I'll buy a boston butt and try your recipe for Labor Day, using a barbecue sauce that I just love the taste of - it's a sweet-type sauce, and I buy it from a barbecue restaurant that's on the west coast of Florida. I've never come across a barbecue sauce that I love as much as this one - I can eat it on anything!

I'll let you know how it comes out -
