Yes, Karen I have baked cakes on the BBQ with good results. I use the indirect heat method. My bbq has a temperature reading on it so I can tell how hot it is. On ours if you put two of the three burners on high the temperature reaches 400 degrees F after preheating, so I put the burners on a bit lower to reach 350, which most of my cake recipes call for. I place the cake over the unlit burner after the temperature reaches 350. I find it takes about the same time as called for on the box. Happy Baking!
