Ok, this is my grandma's recipe and SHE called it apple ketchum but it as basically the same thing-It is to die for!Apple Ketchum1/2 Cup Butter/Marg, softened 1 box Betty Crocker yellow cake mix 1/2 Cup flaked coconut2-1/2-3-1/2 Cups fresh apples, peeled, sliced, cored (enough to cover mix) 1/2 Cup Sugar 1 tsp cin 1 Cup sour cream 2 egg yolks or 1 egg Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut butter into cake mix (dry) until crumbly, mix in coconut. Pat mixture lightly into ungreased oblong pan 13x9, building up slightly at the edges. Bake 10 minutes. Arrange apple slices on warm crust. Mix cin and sugar and sprinkle over apples. Blend sour cream and egg and drizzle over apples (topping will not completely cover apples). Bake 2 5 min or until edges are light brown. Do not overbake. serve warm. 12-15 servings.A few notes-it is still good if overbaked a little. This dessert is more of a messy finger food. It can be hard to cut with a fork. I just cut squares for serving and usually people pick it up like pizza. Also great with ice cream, wipped cream and cold.
