CRUMB TOP BANANA CAKE

1/2 cup shortening or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, beating until fluffy. Beat in bananas. Add flour and salt alternately with mixture of vinegar, soda and milk. Beat well and pour into a greased and floured 9x13 pan (or 11x15 if you prefer bars).

Sprinkle with topping and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes for 9x13 pan. (Decrease time for sheet cake pan)

Topping:
1 cup rice krispies, crushed
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup margarine

Mix all together until crumbly.
