Hi!!

I am a rookie at baking and I need some help. I just received a bread machine and decided to make my first loaf this morning. When it was done and cooled somewhat, I whacked off a slice, and found that, while tasty, the bread (crumb??) was rather "heavy" or "dense" or maybe "course" is the right word. What should I do, if anything, to "lighten" my bread. BTW, I was very proud of the results, heaviness aside, as it was my first attempt.

Thanks for any help, and I look forward to posting here soon that I have sucessfully employed your suggestions.
