The grocery stores we went to in Edmonton, AB, Canada did not have the black food coloring paste so my Dad went to the bakery department of one of them and they gave him some black food coloring that they use. We're going to make a 9 by 13 chocolate cake and cut a whale shape out from that. Thankyou you all so much for your ideas. I will have to try the blue food coloring and the chocolate icing some time.
