Thanks, Fran!! I do use the Fleishman's Bread machine yeast when I start from scratch but I also use Bread Machine box mixes. I have tried the body temp. water test, much like testing a baby bottle. However, it seems the bread doesn't raise any higher than the pan, if that high. I wonder if it is the bread machine or is it me? I am getting desperate. No matter if I use a from scratch or bread mix I end up with the same result.
