-------- ------------ --------------------------------
2 1/4 cups cake flour -- sifted
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 squares baking chocolate -- melted and cooled
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed bananas -- very ripe
2/3 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups sugar

Sift flour, salt, soda, and baking powder together. Cream butter
with sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well
after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Add chocolate & mix well.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternating with bananas and buttermilk,
beating well after each. Turn into 10 inch greased tube pan.
Bake in 350 degree oven about an hour or until toothpick inserted in
center comes out clean. Cool slightly in pan before removing.
When cake is completely cool, sprinkle top with 10x (confectioners sugar).
