Wheat Germ Cookies
1 box Duncan Hines deluxe yellow cake mix 1 large egg 3 Tbsp. brown sugar 1/4 cup oil 2 Tbs. butter or margarine, melted 1/2 cup wheat germ 2 Tbsp. water 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 375F, Combine dry cake mix, egg, brown sugar, oil, butter, wheat germ and water in bowl. Mix with a spoon, dough will be stiff, stir in nuts.
Drop by teaspoon, 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 10 mins, for chewy cookies, 12 mins. for crispy cookies. Cool 1 min. on sheet, then remove to rack to finish cooling.
Double Chocolate Chewies
1 box Duncan Hines deluxe deep chocolate cake mix 2 large eggs 1/4 cup oil 1 pkg. (6oz.) chocolate chips 1 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350F Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
Combine dry cake mix, eggs and oil in a bowl, mix well (mixture will be stiff). Stir in choc. chips and nuts, using your hands if necessary. Pat mixture into even layer in pan.
Bake for 20-25 mins. Cool in pan on rack. Cut into bars.
