have had this recipe ever since i was a little girl. Maybe it is close to
the same as the Pecan Pie Squares. Enjoy! C.Gant. Pecan Pie
Squares
2 cups all-purpose
flour
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened
condensed milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch salt
1 pkg.(6 ounces)chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans
In a mixing, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture
resembles coarse meal. Press firmly into a greased 13-in.x9-in.x2-in.
baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in another
bowl, beat milk, egg, vanilla and salt. Stir in chocolate chips and
pecans; spread evenly over baked crust. Bake for another 20-25 minutes
or until lightly browned. Cool, then refrigerate. When thoroughly
chilled, cut into bars. Store covered in or out of the refrigerator.
Yield: 4 dozen
