ORANGE CRUSH POUND CAKE
1 1/2 c. margarine or butter 3 c. sugar 5 eggs 3 c. flour 1 tsp. lemon extract 1 tsp. vanilla extract 3/4 c. Orange Crush drink
Margarine and eggs should be at room temperature. Cream sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add flour. Beat in lemon and vanilla extracts and Orange Crush drink. Pour batter into a well greased and floured 10-inch tube pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Cool in pan about 20 minutes before turning out. Variation: Add 1 teaspoon each of vanilla, lemon, coconut and rum flavorings to batter.
Glaze:
1 tsp. almond extract 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. water
Glaze cake with ingredients which have been brought to a boil. Pour over cool cake.
