This is the pastry I use for the zucchini quiche I posted recently.

Sift into bowl 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. baking powder. Rub in 4 oz. (125 g) butter, add 4 oz. (125 g) strong grated cheese (Cheddar or similar) and mix to a soft dough adding milk. (It's ages since I've made this, think it was about 1/4 cup or so. I used to make it in my food processor in which case you need a lot less liquid so I added it bit by bit. Sorry, you'll have to experiment!) Roll out between wax paper (or
parchment/greaseproof) and line a pie plate or quiche dish. I didn't even bother rolling it out, just used to pat it in and it was fine.
