Sift 2 tbsps. cocoa and 1 cup powdered (confectioners) sugar into a bowl. Stir in 1/4 cup bourbon or rum and 2 tbsps. light corn syrup; mix well. Add 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers and 1 cup finely chopped nuts; mix well. Form into 3/4 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Dry several hours. These freeze well. Yields 3 doz.
