1/2 c sugar
1 c packed brown sugar
1 c margarine, softened
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp powdered cloves
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 banana
1 c raisins

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, mash banana, and mix with margarine, sugars, and vanilla until creamy. in another large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Add dry mixture to wet mixture and mix together completely. mix in oatmeal and raisins.
Place dollops of cookie mixture onto ungreased cookie tray. You can make them any size, but if you make them too large or small, you may have to adjust the cooking time. For dollops about 2.5" in diameter, 15 minutes will suffice. Slightly undercooked cookies are chewier, overcooked are slightly brown and will
become crunchier after cooling. Bake for 15 minutes, or until slightly golden-brown.
Variations: Chopped walnuts and/or chocolate chip cookies are nice additions to this recipe. If you add either or both, reduce the amount of raisins. About 1 1/2 c total of raisins/nuts/chips/whatever is enough.GINGER-OAT-COOKIES
