Pretty much any bread recipe will do okay in the tube. Rye bread comes out really pretty if you want to do those appetizers with the cheese and sausage on them. I have also used muffin and cake mixes. You can even soften ice cream and stuff it in them to refreeze and slice later (to remove, wrap the tube in a warm towel, push out, wrap in plastic, refreeze). You can put cookie dough in, chill, push out, slice, and bake. You can also put two different kinds of bread side by side (one dark bread and one light) to make two-tone bread. So basically, other than the recipe I'll post, I just use regular recipes for the tube.
