MAPLE SUGAR COOKIES
1/2 c. butter 1 c. maple sugar, sifted 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 1 tsp. salt 2 eggs, beaten 1 Tbsp. milk 2 1/2 c. cake flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Cream butter. Add sugar, which has been rolled and sifted; cream well together. Add beaten eggs, lemon extract, milk and a part of the flour, which has been sifted with the salt and baking powder; beat well. Add remaining flour; chill at least 1/2 hour in the refrigerator. Roll 1/4-inch thick; dust with brown sugar. Bake at 350 degrees.
