Susan,
Sorry for the delay in getting this recipe to you - it's been pretty hectic!

Finnish Pulla Bread
1 1/2 lb. loaf

3/4 cup Milk
1 1/2 eggs*
3 TBSP. Butter
1/3 Cup Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. ground Cardamom
3 cups bread flour
2 tsp. rapid or quick yeast (I use SAF Special)

Put all ingredients in bread machine and set for dough cycle. Remove dough and divide into thirds and braid. Let rise and bake in preheated 375 ove for 25 to 30 min.

You can glaze before you put in the oven by beating 1 egg with 1/4 cup of sugar. Brush on raised bread and sprinkle with chopped or sliced almonds. You can also you a regular confectioners sugar glaze after bread has cooled a bit.

* To measure a half of an egg you can beat it and then divide or just use the yolk and save the white for glazing the bread before you put in the oven.

This is very good and everyone that tries it loves it. I also have the 1lb. and 2lb version. This size makes a pretty large braid - if you want one of the other sizes let me know - I'd be happy to post it for you.

Enjoy your bread baking!
