Susan, So sorry for not getting this out sooner. Here is the recipe for the Finnish Pulla Bread in all three sizes.
Finish Pulla (Coffee Bread)
1 lb milk 1/2 cup egg 1 butter 2 TBSP sugar 1/4 cup salt 2/3 tsp ground cardamom 2/3 tsp bread flour 2 cups instant yeast 1
1.5 lb milk 3/4 cup egg 1 1/2 butter 3 TBSP sugar 11/3 cup salt 1 tsp ground cardamom 1 tsp bread flour 3 cups instant yeast 2 tsp
2 lb milk 3/4 cup egg 2 butter 4 TBSP sugar 1/2 cup salt 1 tsp ground cardamom 1 1/4 tsp bread flour 3 1/2 cups instant yeast 2 tsp
For Glaze combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 beaten egg. Brush on raised bread. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. The 1.5 (1 1/2 lb) is the best size for braiding. This is a wonderful recipe - every one loves it.
Per 1 oz. serving - 80 cal. 2.3g protien, 13.7g carbohydrate, 1.8g fat, 0.6mg choleterol, 115mg sodium.
