Barbara, I made your brownies with a few changes. They are similar to a chocolate cake my aunt made in that it uses 3 cups of flour and same amount of sugar. It makes a big cake. I used butter instead of crisco and used baking soda and slightly soured the milk with 1\2 tsp vinegar. Here is your recipe the way I made it. It turned out great.
Vanilla Brownies
l c. brn sugar l c. butter l c. granulated sugar 3 eggs 1-2 t. vanilla 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 1 1/2 c. nuts
bake in 9x13 pan about 35-40 min. at 350 deg. |
