I just read an article about balsamic vinegar and the article stated that yes,price varies but there are many that are very good in the $4 price and not to let price determine quality.I have used this low priced balsamics found in the grtocery store with great success.I especially like the white balsamic as opposed to the dark more robust balsamic.
