Your post prompted me to go look for your recipe and then I looked for others - most of which look like were posted in 1998. I'll be in muffin heaven for awhile!

lulu, I just read somewhere that you shouldn't stir muffin mixtures with a wooden spoon (which I've always done) - makes them tough I think it said. They suggested stirring with a fork (my mother gave me a big, wide-tined fork several years ago and said it was wonderful - now I know what to use it for!)
