Hi Ken: This is the recipe that I use, and have been very pleased with the results. BTW, there is a great bread machine cookbook that I use a lot, Bread Machine Baking by Lora Brody and Millie Apter. Lora Brody also has a website that is worth checking out: www.lorabrody.com
Oatbran Bread
1 cup water (plus several more Tablespoons, added one at a time, if the dough looks dry and crumbly after the first 10 minutes of kneading) 3-1/2 Tablespoons vegetable oil 2 Tablespoons honey 1/3 cup molasses 1 extra-large egg 1-1/2 cups unbleached white flour (I use bread flour) 1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup oat bran 1/4 cup oats 1-1/2 Tablespoons dried milk 1-1/2 teaspoons salt 2 Tablespoons gluten or 3 teaspoons Lora Brody's Bread Dough Enhancer (this enhancer is to die for in the results) 1 Tablespoon wheat germ 2-1/2 teaspoons yeast
Place all ingredients in the machine, program for white or wheat setting and press Start or On.
Hope you enjoy making this Ken.
