I'm not sure this is the recipe, I have not seen directions for freezing it, but have for keeping them refridgerated.

1 package yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup hot tap water
5 cups self-rising flour
1 cup shortening
2 cups buttermilk

Mix yeast, sugar, and water together and set aside. Cut shortening into flour. Add yeast mixture and buttermilk to flour mixture. Mix only until flour is moist. Knead dough twice. At this point the dough can be refridgerated or rolled out and cut into biscuits. Place on greased baking sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown at 450 degrees. I would think they could be frozen once they have been shaped into biscuits.
