Strawberry Topped Chocolate Waffles

3 Large Eggs -- separated
1 1/2 C Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 C Sour Cream
3/4 C Milk
1/3 C Chocolate Syrup
1/4 C Oil
1/4 C Butter -- melted
2 C Strawberries -- sliced
1 C Whipping Cream

Beat egg whites until stiff. Set aside. Mix flour, baking
powder, baking soda and sugar. Beat egg yolks with
sour cream, milk and chocolate syrup. Mix oil and
butter.

Add sour cream mixture alternately with butter/oil mix
to dry ingredients. Mix until smooth. Fold in egg
whites., Pour 1/4 c batter into waffle maker. Bake
about 3 minutes.

Whip the whipped cream until stiff and fluffy but not
dry. Top hot waffles with sliced strawberries and
whipped cream. Also great served with ice cream.
Serve at once.
