Hi, Tina - This won't change the flavor of your crust, but it's something different. Freeze the dough for the top crust, and then grate it just the way you would grate cheese. Sprinkle the shreds on top of your pie (let them pile up a bit), bake as usual, and then dust the whole thing with a little powdered sugar when it cools. My DH just loves this.
