Hi Judi, I don't know the original source of this cake but the name and shape are right! Crusty Apple Cake 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups sugar 2/3 cup oil 2 tsp. vanilla 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups cored, peeled & sliced apples (about 2 medium) 1 cup chopped nuts Powdered sugar, whipped cream or ice cream (optional garnish) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease 10-inch Bundt or tube pan. Combine eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla in large bowl. Blend in flour, baking soda and salt and mix until batter is stiff but still moist. Stir in apple and walnuts. Turn batter into prepared pan. Bake until tester inserted near center comes out clean, about 50 to 60 minutes. Loosen cake from sides of pan and invert onto rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool before serving. Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream. Happy Baking! Betsy www.recipelink.com
