My mother used to make these WONDERFUL melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts, similar to Krispy Kreme. They are a raised doughnut that you fry in oil. The distinguishing characteristic of the recipe was that it used powdered milk. Most recipes call for scalded milk, but this particular recipe uses powdered milk. It was a recipe that had been handed down through our family and was evidently lost in a move. My mom is up there in years now and can't remember the ingredients, other than the powdered milk. If anyone has a recipe like this, we would sure appreciate hearing from you!
Thanks!
