I went to an Oktoberfest celebration this past weekend and had a delicious piece of cake that a friend of mine is just wild about. I'd love to make it for her if I could find a good recipe.

It was a yellow cake made with yeast, similar to a yeast coffee cake, filled with vanilla custard and topped with sugared almonds.

Does anyone have something similar?
