Whole Grain Bread
1 1/2 Teaspoons Instant Yeast 1 1/2 cups Water 1 1/4 TBSP Vegetable Oil 4 TBSP Honey or Brown Sugar 2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup King Arthur Special Bread Flour add 1 TBL Vital Wheat Gluten, Make up to 1 Cup. 1/2 Cup Mixed 10 grain Cereal (Red Mill) 1/2 Cup Oat bran and Wheat Bran 1 TBSP Flax Seed Meal 1 Teaspoon Millet Seeds 1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt 1 Cup Sunflower seeds or chopped toasted Walnuts
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. All liquids in machine then add dry ingredients on top. Follow machine instructions. 4 cups whole grain, light crust settings. Makes 2 lb loaf
I have sucessfully used this in a cholesterol lowering program.
