traybake is just you bake cakes in a rectangular shaped tin, i.e. the normal americal 9 x 13 trays. it's an birtish useage. these cakes are usually cut into small squares for serving or for sale. you can find many Mary Berry recipes on BBC's food site if you are interested. :)
