Blueberry Cake
2 cups sugar 1/2 cup butter 2 cups sour milk (or buttermilk) 2 large or 3 small eggs, beaten 3 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 quart blueberries (frozen berries can be used) powdered sugar (for topping)
Combine butter, sugar; stir in milk, and eggs. Mix together dry ingredients and stir into sugar mixture. Fold in blueberries.
Bake in 9 x 13-inch greased pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Rub cake with butter while it's warm. Then sprinkle powdered sugar over top of cake.
Half of recipe makes good-sized cake. Extra good when eaten warm.
