Try a Make-Yor-Own recipe or one of the substitutes:
MAKE YOUR OWN EVAPORATED MILK
2/3 cup skim milk powder 1 cup water OR 1 cup dry whole milk 2/3 cup water
Mix well and use as directed in recipe.
2/3 cup evaporated milk = 5 oz can. 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk = 12 oz can
HALF-AND-HALF = Half & Half (10.5 - 18% fat)
1/2 cup cream and 1/2 cup milk = 1 cup half-and-half OR 7/8 cup milk + 1 1/2 tb butter = 1 cup half-and-half COFFEE CREAM = Light Cream = TABLE CREAM (18 - 30% fat)
7/8 cup milk + 3 tb butter = 1 cup light cream OR 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup cottage cheese = 1 cup light cream
