Not T. of H. Carol but it does have Molasses and is excellent! My book has the recipes in US and Cdn. amounts. This is the US one.
OATMEAL BREAD (Breadmaker) Source: Black & Decker Bread Manual
1 1/2 cups Water 2 Tbs. Powdered Milk 2 Tbs. Shortening 2 Tbs. Molasses 2 Tbs. Honey 1 1/2 tsp. Salt 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour 1 1/2 cups Bread Flour 1/2 cup Oatmeal, Quick Cooking but not Instant 1 1/2 tsp. Yeast 1/3 cup Walnuts, chopped (optional)
METHOD 1. Measure first 10 ingredients in the order listed into Baking Pan. 2. Insert Baking Pan into oven chamber, twist to secure. Close Lid. 3. Select Wole Grain Setting. 4. Crust setting is pre-selected. 5. Press start. There will be a 25-minute preheat delay before mixing begins. 6. Add walnuts (if using) when “Add Ingredient” signal beeps. 7. Using oven mitts, remove bread when completion beeps sound. 8. Cool on a wire rack before slicing. Time; 4:10 Hours. Change Method to suit your Breadmaker’s Mfg. |
