Hi..I am not for sure about custard filling, but I will do some research..I have a great recipe for Custard Pie..It is delicious..

Custard Pie

1 unbaked pastry shell
1 14oz can evaporated milk
1 1/2 c hot water
1/2 t salit
1/2 t vanilla
nutmeg

Combine all ingredients and pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce to 300 degrees and bake for 25 to 30 minutes longer, until knife inserted comes out clean.
