treat your bread dough like you would a baby.... all water must be wrist warm temperature and keep it covered and warm... does not matter about the sugar as much as the heat of the water... boiling hot water(even hot water) destroys yeast. sugar feeds the yeast and helps it grow... do not add salt at the same time it slows yeast developement.
