A simply coffee cake my German grandmother used to make. It was a very plain, simple basic cake (possibly a sweet dough). I also believe it could have been a yeast sweet dough.

It had cinnamon and sugar as a topping. You would cut a slice the length of the cake and butter the side. It was simply yet so tasty.
