In a Cape Cod newspaper recently, there was an article and a photo showing a medieval recipe for a Banberry Cake with Dried Cherry Sauce.

It looked so good and very interesting.

Has anyone ever heard of this and have at least a recipe for the cake part? I could probably "invent" the dried cherry sauce.

I put in a Google search and also here, but no luck.
