I love using sourdough starter. you can use it in pancakes, banana bread, rolls or cookies. You let the starter sit somewhere warm, covered with kitchen towl. stir it every day, with a wooden spoon, until it stops bubbling and has a liquid top and a sour smell. Then you put it in the fridge, in an airtight container, until you are ready to use it. When you want to use starter, take out of fridge and let come to room temp. before using it in your recipe.
