Hi,

I am hoping someone out there can help me. I have been making this banana bread recipie for 20 years. It always worked wonderfuly. The proplem is that I no longer can get it to work right. No matter what I do, the middle always comes out raw. I have tried leaving it in longer (just ends up very overcooked), I tried lowering the temp and adjusting the cooking time.... nothing... I haven't been able to get this recipe to work since I moved.. Could it be an electric oven? I have had 2 different ones since I moved, and the recipe still comes out the same. I even called an aunt to have my recipie checked against her's.... she said that it was right......... Could someone please give me some insight on this?

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
3/4 cup mashed banana
1 1/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Cram shortening and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in banana.

Sift together dry ingredients. Add to banana mixture.

Bake 30 minutes at 350F.

Thank you!
