Patricia, I'm sorry that your monster cookies didn't work out. This is a recipe enjoyed by my family and for anyone who is on a wheat-free diet. The recipe has no flour.

I apologize for the obvious typo...although I can't tell now what the original posting was. Jeanne/FL is correct that it should have read 3/4 teaspoon of corn syrup.

Did you use regular oats in your recipe? The results will not be the same with quick oats. Also, if your butter/margarine was too warm when creamed with the sugar (as I have done using the microwave to hurry) it will cause cookies to spread.

I'm sorry to be the cause of your disappointment, but thank you for letting us know so that Betsy corrected the problem.

Could the cookies be crumbled, crisped up in the oven and used as topping for vanilla ice cream?
