Kim, This recipe calls for a pre-baked crust, but I'm sure you could substitute vanilla wafers.
PEACH DELIGHT FIRST LAYER: 1 cup flour 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 cup butter, soft 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Mix ingredients for first layer and spread in 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool.
SECOND LAYER: 1 cup sugar 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (softened) 1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip 3 cups sliced fresh peaches
To prepare second layer, cream sugar and cream cheese. Fold in whipped topping. Spread mixture over crust. Top cream cheese mixture with peach slices.
THIRD LAYER: 1 cup sugar 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1 1/2 cups water 1 (3 oz.) pkg. peach flavor gelatin
Combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in water. Cook until thick. Stir in peach gelatin until thoroughly blended. Cool. Spoon glaze over peaches.
Note: Strawberries and strawberry gelatin can be substituted.
