Wanda - I have this recipe at home and it's exactly like Glady's recipe with the exception that mine gives you the option of adding anise or almond flavoring - I like the anise flavoring, seems to make it more "Italian" tasting.
It's really a wonderful simple cake that is rich enough that it doesn't need frosting or anything else with it, maybe a few fresh raspberries scattered on the serving plate.
