I have a recipe for Montgomery Pie. I have never had, seen or heard of this pie until my boyfriend asked if I could make him one (its his favorite). I have followed the instructions in the recipe. Can anyone tell me how this pie is supposed to turn out? The recipe I have has a very liquidy filling then a more dough-like topping. Is the topping supposed to completely cover the top? Or is it more crumbly like the crumbs in shoo-fly pie? I have no idea if I got it right and would truly appreciate some guidance.
