My Grandmother was born and raised on a potato farn in Northern Maine inthe late 1800s. When I was growing up in the 40s and 50s Gram would make Oat Meal bread and rolls wsing quaker oats. She would hand grind the quaker oats to make her flower and I think she must have used molasses because her bread was a dark brown. Thanks for any help in my effort to make some of this bread.
