Good afternoon. I happen to have a recipe for you. I have never made this recipe however.

MAPLE NUT COOKIES

1 cup pure maple syrup (health food stores and some super markets carry this product)
1 cup of butter (2 sticks)
3 large eggs
1 tbsp molasses
3 cups of all-purpose flour
3 pinches of salt
1 cup of walnuts or nuts of your choice (chopped into bite-sized pieces with your rolling pin)

In your electric mixer, attach the paddle instrument and cream together the first 5 ingredients. (scrape down paddle and bowl every now and then). Aggie, as you know you must beat air into this concoction so cream for 7 1/2 to 9 minutes.

Then stir in flour, with 3 pinches of salt added, and the nuts and blend in with a spatula by hand only till incorporated. Do not over-mix.

Aggie, if you want a thinner cookie grease the parchment paper that you will bake the cookies on, otherwise do not grease.

Bake at 350 degrees for approx 7 to 10 minutes or till golden brown and top of cookie springs back when depressed slightly when pressed in the center.

Makes 3 dozen cookies

Good luck & have a nice day young lady.
