GRAHAM CRACKER BROWN BREAD
2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1 3/4 cups flour 1 3/4 cups buttermilk 3/4 cup molasses 1/2 cup shortening 2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. salt 1 1/4 cups raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In large bowl, combine all ingredients except raisins. Stir until moistened and then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add raisins. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
Bake 60 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in bread comes out clean.
