Hi...last year after reading Thunder Cake, my class and another 2nd grade class got together to let the kids make the cake. We guided them but let them do all of the work. They all went, "Eeeeewwwwww!" when they added the tomato puree but in the end, all of us agreed that we couldn't taste the tomatoes. My class this year just finished the story today and we're making Thunder Cake on Friday! I'm sure it will be just as fun and just as delicious!
