Hi,
I remeber when I was a young child around 3-6 or 7 years of age my great aunt would make a layered cake. The only person I know that knew the recipe was my mom who passed away a few years ago before I got interested in cooking. My dad recalls that it was made with apple butter. I recall it had about 1/4" thick layers of about 5 - 7. Then probably the apple butter in between. It was topped with a red decorative sugar i believe. Also I remember it was always chilled in the fridge. Has anyone had anything like this? My aunt was an old fashioned southern lady so it's more than likely a southern desert.
Thanks
Logan S.
