Thanks to you too Janet. Definitely was not the egg. There is only 1 in my recipe and I had taken out to at the beginning to come to room temp. before baking. I'm sure it wasn't any of my quantities as I always get everything ready in advance before putting them all together. Learned that long ago when I did forget an ingredient at one time.

Whatever it was it's all OK today as I have a new recipe that June posted and I'm dying to try as well as a new molasses cookie recipe. Also the first loaf only has one piece left and the other is in the freezer. I'll post back when we cut into that one on the weekend. I'm thinking it will be really yummy.
