CHOCOLATE RICH CRESCENT CROISSANTS

1 (8 oz.) can Pillsbury Refrigerated Quick Crescent Dinner Rolls*
2 tablespoons Parkay margarine or butter, softened
1 (4 oz.) bar sweet baking chocolate
Beaten egg
2 tablespoons sliced or slivered almonds
Powdered sugar

Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Separate dough into 8 triangles. Press each triangle to slightly enlarge; spread with margarine.

Break or cut chocolate bar into small pieces (chocolate may break into irregular shapes). Place an equal amount of chocolate pieces on shortest side of each triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side of each triangle and rolling to opposite point.

Place rolls point-side-down on ungreased cookie sheet; curve into crescent shape. Brush rolls with beaten egg; sprinkle with almonds.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown; cool.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

*To use 4-oz. can crescent dough, halve the amounts of ingredients above.

Makes 8 pastries.
